How to start? Setup easier step by step guide, please.

The 3 links that are main thread are just too complicated. Can someone provide simple yet detailed guide on how to start?
Like - step 1 - download Diablo 2 from here. Step 2 install this here (provided link) etc, etc.
And can it be all narrowed in 1 thread? In my oppinion it's just too complicated and lot of people find it hard to get it to work, that's why a few people are playing.

Step 3 Install D2SE_ES R6E Com4.1N
Step 4 Create a Forumaccount an verify for online playing
Step 5 Start Game. Select Realm
Step 6 Profit.

Not sure how it can be easier than this?

Your Diablo 2 Version should be 1.13c to work with D2SE.

The Battle.net launcher doesn't work at all.
Because it's version 1.14 and there's no way (I know of) to downgrade it.

In this case you've got to download an ISO file from an older version and burn
it or mount it with a program like Virtual CloneDrive or Daemon Tools Lite.
I prefer the first one because Daemon Tools is going to install a lot of other
things if you're not choosing manual installation and deselect all that crap.

https://snag.gy/kPif8b.jpg I did all as described, but when I turn on Diablo 2 from D2SE modmanager and when I run Eastern Sun setup it just turns on normal D2 game. No ES mode. Help please.

Clicked on it. No effect. That's the problem. I click on Start plugin. I marked ES mod. Game starts and it's classic Diablo with Lunatics realm. No ES.

For me problem was caused by trying to use R6-full directly from ES site. It kept resulting in a broken install.
The zip provided here works as it should after setting game.exe DiabloII.exe D2SE.exe compatability launch settings to admin & xpsp2.
