Hi,

this night i finally setup and tested a Eastern Sun Realm.
The download in the Modplugin Section is updated to fit the new Realm Configuration and should work out of the box.

The realmserver is based on ES R6E including latest Community Patch 4.1N

What a lovely coincidence. Yesterday evening I've been struggling so hard trying to get this mod working on single player without any luck. And now I find this and it works instantly combined with a realm. I can't even thank you enough.

Wonderful, will try abit of online play, even though ES i have stopped some months ago.

I really respect this work for Eastern Sun, especially bc imo its much better then Reign of shadows.. whose content doesn't fit the darkish name (more like bunnies and teddies "ok").

Hi,

the reason to host ES was to have a greater selection of different "tastes" as you cant target everyone with a mod. Im thinking about adding a 4th Mod but still havent decided which.

Im also looking for a ES player with deeper knowledge and ongoing interest to moderate the ES Board here and build it up in regards of structure, documentation and support .. im unable to do this as im no ES player and have no deeper knowledge there... so im up for applications and will make a decision after some time.

I do wish for two changes to ES here.

1. A gold pickup mod.
( I use this on SP, and it gets kinda annoying without it, because of the mass drops in Lost Farm. )

2. A new recipe for skill/stats respec. ( Devil's Food + Full Rejuv = Respec potion )
( On SP we have PlugY for this. )

Hi,

plugy is active on realm and modding of ES is nothing i will do here, im just hosting it.
Same goes for the gold pickup ... its not included in the mod and can be seen as cheating this way as i only host unmodified mods.

Doesn't RoS have goldpickup ?
You're are hosting the community patch, not the main line, so it is a modified version of the patch ;P

plugY is active, does that mean I can reassign my skills and stats on a char on the realm?

Hi,

the original modder is Tsuru, but he vanished already years ago. Long ago i had contact to him on the D2Maniacs board.

yes its the community edition "as is" as i have not the time and the intend to mod ES, im no ES player you can check what works and what not as i have no idea. the community edition is more or less now the half official version as Tsuru vanished years ago. If RoS has features like gold pickup then its because the modder added it officially as RoS is actively modded and the Realm is setup and managed from the original modder and his community.

atleast not on a XP Server. Didn't tried it out on Win7/10.

Ive Been playing ES for quite sometime and have a good amount of knowledge about the mod itself. I do lack a lot of free time at the moment but work will be slowing down at the end of the month giving me a full weekend (haven't had a day off in over 3 months).

How I do miss the tournaments on PhrozenKeep

They did later turn out to be too grindy for me though.
Like completing multiple chars, I even struggled to maintain one!
